Boys Club is a Web3-native media and community platform designed to make crypto culture accessible, inclusive, and fun. The product combines content, community events, membership onboarding, and experimental engagement mechanics that reflect the evolving Web3 ecosystem. My role was to design the landing platform with a focus on activating new members, building early audience trust, and enabling scalable community engagement.
Role:
Lead Designer
Industry:
EV Infrastructure, Mobility Tech
Duration:
8 Weeks
Challenges
Web3 audiences often hesitate to trust new platforms due to complexity, scams, and unclear value
Early user drop-off during membership signup created friction in growing the core community
Limited pathways for content consumption and community event discovery slowed recurring engagement
My Approach
Simplified onboarding and wallet setup to help new users connect accounts, add fiat balances, and activate crypto wallets with minimal steps
Designed a clear transaction history system with real-time status labels, filters, and full audit trails to build trust in every transfer
Integrated dynamic QR code payments to simplify peer-to-peer transactions and merchant acceptance
Developed multi-currency account management with live balances across fiat and crypto in one unified wallet
Built modular filtering and transaction search to support frequent users managing multiple currencies and transfer types
Results
Designed an immersive onboarding experience that quickly positioned Boys Club’s unique tone, combining humor, transparency, and accessibility
Created a minimalist but bold landing page that invited users into membership while reducing friction around Web3 skepticism
Simplified the membership signup flow by limiting initial information fields and offering opt-in stages for deeper personalization
Integrated subscription options for newsletters and content updates, building recurring touchpoints beyond one-time site visits
Developed the events discovery module with clear calls to action that encouraged ongoing participation in live and virtual experiences
Conclusion
Boys Club was a community-first growth challenge. In Web3, trust and vibe matter as much as features. Every design decision focused on lowering entry anxiety, building playful credibility, and creating recurring engagement loops that made members feel like active participants from day one.
